Our client is an large organization based in Richmond area. The client is looking for a Service Owner for a backfill position.

Role:

This backfill position will support the Service Portfolio Manager with transition activities for project go-lives within the portfolio, such as reviewing Support Plans, documentation and organising transition and training meetings/workshops.

Successful candidate will also assist with the creation and updating of Portfolio information and artefacts for production services, assist with inflight (small) project coordination.

Act as a point of liaison for internal technical group and Vendors for our Managed Services.

An interest in Web and Mobile applications is highly desirable.

This is not a technical role but a background in an IT role is highly desirable.

Requirements:

Tertiary (preferably post graduate) qualifications or progress towards post graduate qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in IT, with a focus on service provision preferably in the context of a recognised framework such as ITIL,

Demonstrated experience working within information technology services in a large, complex organisation acting as service owner for a suite of IT services

High level interpersonal, communication (oral, written, listening and presentation), teamwork and customer service skills and a demonstrated record of willingness to develop and implement customer-focused solutions. The successful candidate will be a good collaborator with demonstrable experience in negotiating outcomes with senior colleagues and other teams where the outcome impacts areas outside own area of control.

Extensive professional experience and knowledge working within a service management framework (e.g. ITIL) and relevant processes and practice.

Sound business analysis and customer consultation skills

An understanding of IT project management principles and methodologies (for example PRINCE2)

Demonstrated record of willingness to keep up to date on developments in the IT sector

Location: Richmond

Contract: 6+ months

Rate: $700-800/d + superannuation
