IT Distribution/Reseller market requires a number of Experienced BDM's for their business.
What you will need to succeed in this role:
- Preferred – knowledge of IT infrastructure, storage, data management software and cloud
- Strong relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and foster positive relationships with internal staff and with all levels of customer and vendor contacts.
- Must be able to have high level conversations with C level contacts
- Ideally IT distribution - reseller market experienced with contacts accordingly
- At least 10 years plus IT sales experience
- Be the central point of contact for vendor between resellers, the software business unit and other business units.
- Identify focus partners for your vendor and create individual business plans detailing strategic goals for each partner and executing on them
- Identify key decisions makers, all sales, technical and marketing contacts within your focus partners and develop strong working relationships.
- Create enablement plans for partners to certify them and increase their partner status
- Create and conduct sales training for your vendor’s partners
- Attend reseller and vendor social and training events, which may be out of normal hours
- Proactively contact resellers for assigned software vendor
