Solution Designer
Up to 24 month contract

Location:          Applicants will preferably perform the role in Canberra.
Hybrid working arrangements (ie, a combination of onsite attendance at an AEC office and remote working) will be considered.
 
About the Role
The solution designer in collaboration with service designers, architects and developers will design secure, stable, and supportive technology solutions that improve organisations productivity, lower costs, and modernise aging systems and processes.

• Contribute to high-level conceptual solution architecture to modernise the core legacy systems
• Be the solution bridge between business and user goals and system constraints.
• Create detailed solution plans, including evaluating existing technologies, resource allocation, timelines, and estimates for projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and escalate issues appropriately.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Present proposed architecture to architecture committees, effectively communicating key concepts and assumptions.
• Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.
• Work closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business objectives. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams including scrum masters, business analysts, data scientists/ etc.
• Act as a self-starter within a small product management team, proactively identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
