Security Architect
Up to 36 month contract starting 1st week January 2025
Based in Canberra however can be worked from Sydney.
 
Requirements
The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is a statutory agency in the Defence portfolio that defends Australia against global threats and advances our national interests through the provision of foreign signals intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government.  The ASD requires a Security Architect to assist in developing secure web capabilities which will enhance and protect against cybercrime. Security Architect will be responsible for cloud native infrastructure and implementing security controls.     
 
 
Job Skills and Qualifications Essential: At least 5 years’ experience as Security Architect especially in Cloud Infrastructure.
Strong leadership experience and skills in managing security artefacts.

• Review existing system security measures, recommend and implement enhancements.
• Analyse, design, develop, deliver and maintain the security perspective of a Cyber Security Capability.
• Liaise with certification and accreditation authorities, business stakeholders and solution architects to drive a solution/design to an accreditation outcome.
• Review internal/externally developed security engineering artefacts to ensure that all security requirements are addressed
• Advise Program Design Authority on system security threats, risks and mitigations.
