We're looking for a Linux Automation Engineer with proven experience of solving complex problems, who thrives working as part of a team to push boundaries and is passionate about leveraging technology to produce world-class outcomes for critical intelligence and national security customers.
Linux Automation Engineer essential experience & capability: - Experience with Automation Tools: Proficiency in 3rd party automation tools including Ansible and Terraform, utilizing them for automating the delivery of Linux operating systems and applications.
- Enterprise-Scale Deployment: Demonstrated ability in deploying and managing a variety of Linux-based technologies at enterprise scale in a non-homogenous (Windows/Linux) environment, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
- Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and automation/configuration management, utilizing tools like Ansible Automation Platform and GitLab for streamlined workflows and version control.
- DevSecOps Practices: Practical experience working in a DevSecOps model, focusing on code development and promotion with a strong emphasis on CI/CD methodologies, ensuring the integration of security practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- CI/CD Exposure: Working knowledge of DevSecOps principles and exposure to CI/CD methodologies, emphasizing the importance of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices for efficient software development and delivery.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux: Specific experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, showcasing expertise in managing and optimizing this widely used Linux distribution.
- Linux System Management: Knowledge and experience in Linux system management toolsets, including patching, testing, and maintaining an enterprise-sized Linux environment, ensuring system stability and security.
- Code Quality and Security: Proficiency in code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, ensuring the adherence to quality standards and security best practices in software development.
- Support and Deployment: Proficiency in supporting Linux-based Software, Systems, and databases, including application deployment, change, and release management processes, ensuring seamless operations of deployed solutions.
- Testing Expertise: Experience with functional and integration testing, ensuring the robustness and reliability of deployed solutions.
- Risk Management: Understanding of risk management principles and processes in the context of security patch management, ensuring proactive measures are taken to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Baseline required, prefer NV1 clearance for this environment
