Our client is a well-established Australian IT Solutions and Consulting group offering a range of Integrated solutions to the Government and Enterprise Marketplace.
Responsibilities include: - Monitor SQL Server instances across production and development environments
- Monitor and maintain reporting services
- Ensure integrity of SQL backups and restores
- Troubleshoot SQL performance issues
- Liaise with Application owners to improve business reporting needs
- Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput
- Monitor and maintain database storage resources
- Monitor and maintain database maintenance plans for backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics
- SQL Server Installation, Upgrades, Migrations and Configuration
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Experience in writing scripts with T-SQL, DTS, SSIS package development
- Excellent documentation skills
- Be able to construct ETL workflows
- Have used a reporting tool (SSRS, Power BI or similar)
- Knowledge of DR planning and testing
- analytical, adaptable, proactive & conscientious
- SQL Server database development / programming
- Experience with Monitoring & Diagnostic tools
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and disk configurations
- Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
